GCC authentication

GCC is the abbreviation of Gulf Cooperation Council. The Gulf Cooperation Council was established in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on 25 May 1981. Its members are Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the Sultan Kingdom of Oman, the Kingdom of Bahrain and Yemen. The General Secretariat is located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The supreme authority is the Supreme Council, which is composed of the heads of member states. The chairman is rotated by the heads of state for a term of one year. The political and economic systems of the six countries are similar, the royal families are closely linked, and they share common interests in politics, economy, diplomacy and national defense. They are an important political and economic organization in the Middle East.

In May 2009, the GSO Board of Directors held its 10th meeting and reached a unanimous resolution on GCC Conformity Marking. All controlled products are required to be labeled as GCC Conformity Marking. These products with GCC Conformity Marking can be circulated and traded in GCC member countries more quickly and conveniently. In addition to meeting basic health, safety and environmental requirements, all products with this label must also meet the requirements of relevant GSO standards and regulations applicable to the products.

GCC conformity mark identity representation

1) Product enterprises meet the requirements of GCC regulations.

2) The labeled products meet the requirements of GCC regulations.

3) Products should not only meet the requirements of safety, public health and consumer protection, but also meet the requirements of GSO regulations.

4) The legal person or enterprise is responsible for the product with the GCC Conformity Marking logo, and undertakes that the product meets all applicable GSO regulations, and also passes the conformity assessment procedure.

5) In order to have several applicable GCC technical regulations, GCC Conformity Marking indicates that the product meets all applicable regulations. These regulations should be reflected in product labels and nameplates.

6) Except for exempted products caused by special economic reasons or administrative means, all controlled products must be labeled as GCC Conformity Marking before entering the GCC market. The exempted products are only applicable to products that are not harmful to health, safety and related operability. These exempted products must be notified by GSO to all Gulf Member States.

7) The design of GCC Conformity Marking should not be too large or too small, which is related to technical regulations.

8) If the relevant regulations stipulate the size of GCC Conformity Marking, the height of the marking should be greater than 5 mm.

9) The GCC Conformity Marking logo should appear in the appropriate place according to the nature of the product, such as fixed or printed on the product label, or printed on the product packaging or on the closed document according to the regulations.

10) GCC Conformity Marking requires clarity, readability and non-abrasion.

11) The GCC Conformity Marking logo is made and pasted in the finished product stage.

12) The GCC Conformity Marking identification must have the identity code of the announcement body.

13) No other fraudulent identities similar to or similar to GCC Conformity Marking are allowed.

14) The GCC Conformity Marking logo can appear at the same time as other national or international logos, as long as these logos do not confuse GCC Conformity Marking and do not restrict or damage the readability of GCC Conformity Marking logo.

15) The GCC Conformity Marking logo can be made and pasted by the manufacturer, agency or GCC marketing person responsible for the product.

16) The manufacturer or the agent of the GCC member should issue a statement to indicate that the enterprise meets the requirements of the relevant regulations of the formal inspection and quality control system before making and pasting the GCC Conformity Marking logo.

17) Declare to ensure that the product meets the basic requirements and conditions stipulated in the GCC technical regulations. Or declare that the product is consistent with the sample tested by the publicizing agency.

18) All declaration documents shall be maintained for at least 10 years unless specifically specified in the GCC Regulation.

19) Declarations and labels contain at least the following:

A. Name of manufacturer or name of agency in GCC country;

B. Product identity characteristics, such as product name, model number, model code and serial number, etc.

C. Standards, regulations and technical guidelines for product design and production;

D. Product grade or category (electrical appliances);

E. Persons responsible for the products and their signatures (manufacturers or legal agents of GCC member states);

F. Statement Document - Statement of the responsibility of the manufacturer or legal agent;

The identity of the signatory of the manufacturer or agency;

20) The declaration document may contain other information, such as the name and address of the inspection and testing organization, and the name and address of the person responsible for the product.

21) In order to prevent a product from having multiple applicable GCC technical regulations, the manufacturer may issue a declaration to include all GCC technical regulations satisfied by the product in the declaration.

22) Statement documents can be provided to market research and control agencies of GCC member countries at any time.

GCC certificate

According to the new standard added in the form of extension, the new standard items need to be retested and submitted to GSO together with GCC certificate. GSO reserves the right to view other test reports and raw data of other models. All test data must come from the enterprise's own laboratory or from independent laboratories recognized by GSO.

1) For the licensed models which have been granted GCC certificate, the manufacturer must submit the original of the new GCC certificate and the test report and original data of the new test items to the GSO Head Office.

2) For the newly applied automobile manufacturers, they must submit to GSO certificates that meet the requirements of GCC certification and test reports that meet the requirements of GSO. Each year before the first shipment, the manufacturer shall submit an English/Arabic certificate to GSO to certify that the model meets the requirements of the Gulf Vehicle Standard.

3) Manufacturers of semi-finished vehicles (such as chassis, etc.) also submit their English/Arabic certificates to GSO in advance before the first shipment of any type of goods each year. At least they submit their English/Arabic certificates to the Standardization and Measurement Organizations of GCC countries in advance, proving that such vehicles were completed in accordance with the guidelines of semi-complete vehicle manufacturers and still conform to the relevant requirements. 3. After the examination and approval, submit the application number and two-dimensional code of GSO Standard Bureau and issue the draft.

4. Confirmation of draft and issue of original certificate
